VUMC's Kids Hope Events

GREAT NEWS! The National Kids Hope USA office recently gave our program and the students of Tobey Elementary an award for their efforts in connection with The Water Project. Principal Mike Barwegen said he would be proud to have the award displayed at the school, and we will have a copy here too. It will be presented to all the students at an assembly this fall.

Kids Hope USA Director Barb Bladt and Kids Hope students Brian and Kaleb do a podcast in July.  They were interviewed over the phone about the fund raising efforts by our VUMC Kids Hope program and Tobey Elementary student body of behalf of The Water Project.  This podcast will be available to all Kids Hope directors so that they can learn about what we did to help people in Africa get clean water.  This project and our involvement does not end with sending a check to help build a well.  We will be following our donation through emails and photo updates to see how clean water can give hope and change lives.
